  • Commissioner Don Patton arrested
    According to a post on the Benton County Issues forum, "Commissioner Don Patton, who is one of three Commissioners that represent the first district of Benton County Tennessee, was arrested yesterday on one count of coercion T.C.A. 39-16-507.

    "He posted a $2,500 bond and is to be arraigned tomorrow July 2, 2008 at 9 a.m. in General Session court."

  • 16 Aug 08 BBB at Kentucky State Fair
    Stop by the Better Business Bureau booth at this year's KY State Fair! BBB serving Louisville, Southern Indiana, and Western Kentucky has a booth in Main Street, KY. The area is located in the South Wing of the KY Fair & Exposition Center.

    BBB will hand out its 2008 - 2nd Edition Wise Buying Guide - hot off the press! The Wise Buying Guide has a list of BBB Accredited businesses in it, along with great consumer tips. It's a valuable book, and it's FREE!

    BBB will also hand out information on its "Credit Clues" program - launched at last year's KY State Fair. The packet of information (or computer disk) will provide consumers with information on the right avenues to take, as well as those to avoid, when attempting to use, build, and most importantly repair their credit.
  • 14 Aug 08 Camden CHS marching band hosts pot luck dinner

    Camden, TN - The Camden Central High School Marching Band hosted a show and pot luck dinner in celebration of the end of band camp. Parents and members of the community were treated to a taste of the 2008 field show, "La Nouba," from Cirque du Soleil.


    Mr. Michael Nelson, director, greeted the crowd of spectators with his appreciation of all the hard work the students had put into camp, and said that he was looking forward to a successful season.

    The band performed three of their four songs, saving their closer for the crowd to look forward to. Afterwards, a potluck dinner was enjoyed by all who attended in the CHS cafeteria.
