Four legged politician offers free advice to county officials
Camden, TN - Chico the Chihuahua, running for county mayor in 2006 in Benton County, Tennessee on beautiful Kentucky Lake, has rolled out his improved and official campaign website at
http://www.voteforchico.com
The updated website has downloads of press packages, a photogallery, important and useful links, and much more to help Benton Countians stay informed about issues in their county.
Chico's owner said that "Chico the Chihuahua" is a symbol and to draw people's attention to important information about the local county and the state of Tennessee in general. The use of a dog in a campaign like this should not be seen as "cheapening" the situation. Yes, there is some humor in this but there are also very serious matters that need to be addressed. Chico asks everyone who visits his website to respect those who hold any government position.

Chico is very much aware of the fact that there are real problems in Benton County that every citizen should be aware of. One reason these problems have developed is because many citizens are afraid to stand up for their basic civil rights. Things are now changing. Many more citizens are becoming aware of the issues, becoming concerned and participating and holding town meetings to share their ideas and voice their concerns. Benton Countians are using both print and electronic media (including television) as well as other means to accomplish this.
Chico has been mentioned in the Miami Herald, News Observer, Star Telegram, the Jackson Sun, the Tennessean, and the Kansas City Star.
Chico and local citizens were also featured on Fox17, a Nashville television station.
